Chapter Chats is currently reading through Taramul Viselor, a story about the orphanages in Communist-era Romania. There’s such a wealth of topics in this story we could talk about: the power of friendship, the importance of freedom, the healing properties of imagination, the historical aspects of life under the Communist regime, equality for those who are different than ourselves, etc.

This is the only book I’ve written in which there are elements of fantasy: the children make a daring escape and travel alone to a land called Taramul Viselor (Romanian for “Dreamland”) where they discover magical animals, a wondrous Story Well, and so much more.

We’ll have interactive games, and meaningful conversation in addition to listening to a fifteen – twenty minute reading of the book.
